The Clan McKinnon

Today we explored Harbor Springs, stopping for some farm fun at Pond Hill before venturing into the city for more bike riding and exploring along the waterfront. This night, it was dinner at Legs Inn and another sunny photo!

We spent the morning at the fishing pond in downtown Petoskey. Daddy helped us put the worms on our hooks. We tried and tried to catch something. Unfortunately, we didn't have any luck but we saw the kids next to us catch a few. Then we went on a bike ride along the waterfront and stopped for a three tiered photo opportunity! Dressed up for dinner, but it was too sunny on the porch for a good picture. It was a little better with the lake to our backs. Cora enjoyed her first trip to DLB!

After spending the morning on our beach on Lake Michigan, we went to visit one of Mommy's friends at their cottage on Burt Lake. We had the best time going tubing all over the lake - I jumped right in to go with the other boys!

Our first activity - after stocking up at the grocery - was enjoying the activities at the Good Hart Mini Fair!  It's an annual event to support to local volunteer fire squads.  So there were lots of firemen related activities. I might need to grow a bit more to reach the pedals. We also enjoyed a wagon ride pulled these really big Clydesdales, which we learned are a breed of horse originally from Scotland. Mid-afternoon was perfect timing to get back to our house since the clouds cleared and we could go enjoy the beach and lake!

We are all packed up and ready for a week of vacation!

To properly prepare for vacation, Mommy and I went to get manicures and pedicures! There were a lot of colors to choose from, but I went with purple for my fingers and pink for my toes!  And I got bonus flowers on my big toes!  Meanwhile, John and Cora were having fun at the park. Cora enjoyed swinging and - WALKING! 

We ventured to Independence Lake for a few hours of fun. We first started out at the little beach area - getting prepared for our vacation next week on Lake Michigan. I quickly made my way to the water - I think I like this!
