Season Finale

Our final game of the season and we scored lots and lots of runs again! And Cora really picked up this baseball thing too.

The Nationals

I learned some important steps in playing baseball this season. On offense: 1. Keep your eye on the ball. 2. Swing and make contact. 3. Run 4. Safe! On defense: 1. Keep your eye on the ball (same as offense) 2. Run 3. Hurry to base for an out. My favorite position was playing pitcher so I could run to home before the base runner. Dad taught our team a lot of good tips this season. One should also keep their cleats clean.

Neighborhood Band

We organized a show for our parents when we had a barbecue with our new neighbors. We had some crazy rockstars in our band!

Raindrops Keep Falling on Head

I couldn't let a little bit of gentle summer rain stop me from going on one last kayak trip with Grandma!

Last Hurrah

Hey, where are the keys? I'm ready to go.  After a few days practice, Nathan and I got into sync.  As did Ella and Eve with their squinty faces and messy hair.  We improvised and roasted marshmallows over the grill.  But that didn't stop anyone from enjoying them!  I mean really enjoying them. Can I have another?  And we had a beautiful sunset on our last night.

Rides Galore

Just another day on the lake today meant more kayaking for all.  Cora upgraded to a 2-person kayak today with Grandma (while Dad was up to some shenanigans on the raft).  My attempt at paddle boarding involved Nathan giving me a ride.  I got a faster ride when we went to pick up a boat!  Aunt Sarah and I enjoyed the ride! My final ride of the day was on the tube.  Cora wasn't so sure about the fast boat - but her hair certainly was funny! I loved my ride! We finally had to come back to shore at some point -  where we went frog hunting in the pond.  Family dinner night meant lots of family photos.

Just Add Water

It was a beautiful calm morning - perfect for kayak trips.  I went for a ride too -  solo!  Ella and Eve liked jumping from the dock.  We tried to see how many cousins could fit on one tube - we managed four! But two was the better number for the little tubes! Eve's first attempt at paddle boarding was a big success.  All of that water fun happened in the morning, then we drove to Little Traverse Bay for more fun in the water.  The really cold water from the natural creek didn't bother me! Sorry, but I just met Mommy's friend MaryAnn, so I'm not comfortable getting my photo taken yet.  But I will smile with my Daddy!  But not so much again when Mommy's friend tries to take a photo!  Ella created portraits for both Eve and I while we were away with excellent detail!
