German Park

Thomas and I were mesmerized by the traditional German dancing. Me - really mesmerized - even Thomas couldn't distract me!

Fun in the Sun

Life size checker game? Sure I'll play! So will Eve! And chess! Watch out for my pawn! Stopping playing momentarily for a nice picture with Eve. Then an even bigger smile picture! And a silly picture! Back to the games...hiding this time. Daddy wanted in on the pictures. Today is National Ice Cream Day, so we of course had to partake in eating some! I got a bowl of vanilla, but I much preferred Mommy's mint chocolate chip cone! Back to playing, this time in park in downtown Petoskey! It was a bit windy walking out on the breakwater! One last sunset on our vacation -  - made complete with s'mores! Sunset with the moon!

Full Day of Vacation

We started the day with a bike ride - heading towards Charlevoix. We didn't quite make it all the way there, but stopped at a roadside park that had lots of rocks for us to play on. Me being shorter than the rock.  Me being taller than the rock! Sitting with Mommy and John with his collection of rocks. After a nap, we headed to a place that Mommy and Daddy always like to go to up north! Just like Mommy did when she was little, I got my own order of ribs (but I'm not quite up to a full rack yet)! Of course, John and I saved room for dessert! Who doesn't like a big ice cream sundae? Taking a dip in the lake. Running out on the dock - - with rocks from the shore to throw into the water! Always lots of fun at the DLB. The night would not have been complete without a photo on the swing bench. A photo or two that is. We watched a beautiful sunset from the car driving through Bay View. A big full day of vacation meant everyone slept we

Anniversary Vacation

Our first day at Bay Harbor for summer vacation! Not a bad view from our hotel room - of the place that was probably Eve and mine's favorite of the trip! We wasted no time getting into the pool and splashing around! Later in the afternoon, we headed over to the flagpole were Mommy and Daddy had gotten married exactly 10 years ago! We loved all the fun places to explore! Here's Mommy and Daddy when they went out for the anniversary dinner celebration!

Zoo Animals

Our first trip to the Toledo Zoo brought us up close to some real gorillas. As well as a lot of pretend animals to play with!  Tiger John and  Tiger Eve and Tiger Daddy with Giraffe Eve! More animals to climb on! I was feeling strong enough to pull Eve all by myself! And turtles just the right size for both Eve and I!

Fun on the 4th

Being silly while waiting for the parade to start!  Dancin' in the streets! More dancin' Trying to wait patiently again. Finally it started and John waved to the people in the parade. And kept a serious eye on the parade the whole time.  I got a flag to wave (and a lot of candy)! Back at home, having fun with our neighbor Ogden.  John held Ogden tight, while I pulled them around. Getting ready to head up to the fireworks at Hunt Park.  Headphones, check! Glow sticks, check!  Red, white and blue with Grandma! John found the best relaxation spot to watch the fireworks! John fell asleep before the real fireworks started, but I stayed awake - and visible even in the dark!
