Dual Sledding

Finally, we had enough snow and it was sunny out so we headed up to Hunt Park for some sledding! I went down a few times in my own little sled - which I'm probably too big for - but I really enjoyed going down the hill with Eve! We made it all the way to the bottom by ourselves - and practically had the whole hill to ourselves too! Eve is a really big girl and walks up the hill with the sled by herself now!

Maize & Blue

We all put on our maize and blue and headed to Crisler to watch the Michigan basketball game! I was big boy with my own seat! And made it to the end of the regulation (almost 9 o'clock) before we left for home...but there was still an overtime period that we missed.

Busy Sunday

Daddy caught me putting my arm around John after a quick trip to the grocery store. What can I say, I like my brother! After lunch, I headed out with Mommy - and took her new purse with me. We went to my cousin Ella's birthday party where everyone got to dress up as dogs or cats - and make custom tags for your pet - and eat birthday cake - and finish stuffing your own new stuffed animal! Such fun! I made a dog and of course named him Conor!

Dancing Queen

Uncle Gavin, Daddy and John were all ready for the ceremony to start! John and I got to wait in the special room with the bride, bridesmaids and Grandma! Here's John - still waiting - hopefully thinking of how to walk to down the aisle holding my hand. Me and my flower basket. "All aboard!" says Engineer John! To John's wonderful delight - there was another train set just outside the reception room at the Phipps Conservatory. John and Daddy wore matching McKinnon tartan bowties!  John thought the cake was pretty tasty.  Especially the frosting! Our family picture in the tropical rainforest (in the middle of winter)! John and I were having so much fun all day that Mommy could hardly capture a picture of both of us together! Finally the dancing started - led off of course by the bride and groom! John took a front row seat to watch Aunt Diana dance with her dad. Then after all the formal dances it was my turn to start dancing!

Practice

We spent the morning at the Carnegie Science Center, exploring 4 floors of fun exhibits. Eve's favorite was the robot that played basketball. Mine was the biggest train set you've ever seen! After nap was the most important task of the day - practicing for Uncle Gavin's wedding ceremony! Practice went just fine for Eve, Jude and I. Then we had a practice party back at the hotel. The party room had a view of the river and I loved looking at all the bridges and cars! Eve was being silly on the furniture. And we were both being silly with Grandma! Although Eve was being exceptionally silly. I was being the more serious - but smiling - one! Daddy, Papa Joe, Grandma and Uncle Gavin were all ready for the next day's activities!

New Year's Day Road Trip

We started off the new year with a road trip to Pittsburgh! Eve and I got really big cookies during our pit stop along the Ohio turnpike. We were very excited to have a really big hotel lobby and huge staircase that we could climb all over after being in the car for 5 hours! Mommy was taking a picture of me enjoying my ice cream after dinner just as Daddy asked what that scratching noise was...turns out that I cracked my glass bowl using my spoon to scrap up every last bit of ice cream! And Mommy captured me chewing on glass! Yikes! Thankfully I did not hurt myself!
