Halloween Treats

It was a busy day - even at school. We started the Halloween activities with the whole school parade. This year each class walked with their buddies. Then it was time for classroom parties. Finally after school and a quick dinner - we all got dressed up and ready for the main event - trick or treating! Cora wasn't so sure once I went into full costume mode. We started with our next door neighbors while it was still light out - and stayed out in the neighborhood until it was dark!

Working on a Sunday

While Cora took a nap, John and I tried helping Mom do some of her work homework.  After Dad got home, we carved our pumpkins - one scary one with part of his brain exposed!

Into the Rain (& Woods)

While Daddy spent the weekend visiting Louis in Texas -  I wrapped up my first soccer season with one last rainy game.  Dad was also visiting Uncle Gavin - who starred as The Baker in Into The Woods.  After dinner, Eve and I worked hard gutting our pumpkins and getting messy. It's a toss up to who had more fun today.

Halloween Party

We met by friend Reese for a Halloween party downtown. She wasn't so sure about Mommy taking photos of us.  I was all smiles in my tiger costume.  Stormtrooper Eve and Batman John got in on the festivities too.  Even Mommy had fun (without wearing a costume).  There were no more googly eyes, so I made do with pumpkins.  Not So Spooky Storytime might have been my favorite part!

Pumpkins & Donuts

It's time to find some pumpkins to carve! And play in some straw mazes.  I'm not so sure I want to follow Eve into there. But I will eat donuts with everyone. As long as that chicken doesn't come any closer I'll be just fine.

The 2nd Grade Wolverines

Wrapped up another fun soccer season this year with a new team, new coach and some new & old friends!

A Michigan Fall Morning

This Friday morning in "Walktober" we only walked to school from the Wines sign (Dad had driven us the other longer part).

More Running

The Gibbs GOATs were ready to rule at the runathon this morning. It was also bring your favorite stuffed animal to school day, so we had lots of fun activities today

Run, Run, Run

My first runathon day at school was also a Walk to School day so we started the morning by walking.  I did some warm-up exercises with my friends (I didn't know that Mom & Dad were watching me).  The moment when I saw that Mom & Dad came to watch me run! The Toohey Track Team was ready to run - well most of us were.  And RUN is what I did - really fast.  For 9 laps - I barely slowed down.  Afterwards, I wasn't so sure it was the coolest thing for me to give my own Mom a high-five. My drawing capturing the event - that's me running (the gray figure with blond hair) and that's the corner flag (six flags  in my depiction) where I got a bracelet (the red thing) for every lap completed.

Game Night

Eve and I played a real game of Monopoly with Dad tonight, not the kid version. Cora watched to make sure every played nicely which apparently makes one really thirsty.

Rainy Days

October started with rainy days.  Which means trying to help my sisters stay dry under one umbrella.
