Firehouse #809

My first school parade is in the books! I stuck with my teacher Mr Toohey as we marched around. The crew of Firehouse #809 is ready for trick or treating. Fire Chief John, his trusty companion Dalmatian Eve and of course every fire crew needs a fire hydrant to be successful, so Cora didn't let us down! (The dalmatian and fire hydrant courtesy of Mommy and Grandma's craftiness) Daddy lead us on our way at first - but John and I quickly ventured from house to house on our own! It was a successful night as we had loaded pumpkins by the time we got home in the dark! Silly, happy and scary! Which is your favorite?

1st Halloween

The little pumpkin of the family!

Halloween Practice

We headed out for a trick or treat event at - the Natural History Museum, getting treats from the dinosaurs!

Hello Sunshine!

Mommy's phone didn't do a good job of capturing the beautiful sunrise, but - she did capture me smiling in the sunshine! John had a crazy case of bedhead this morning! And he really liked the truck puzzle that Grandma brought for him. I'm all set for my first bike ride - and it was on the beach! John snuck a ride (and a nap) with Daddy

Conquering the Water

More beach building fun. We had lots of sand to work with. Mom brought our suits down and we ran off to check out the ocean! John was searching for little ocean creatures hiding in the sand.  Waiting for it... Fighting through the wave! Daddy helped us conquer the waves! Cora was there too, just hanging out. Next activity of the day - putt putt golf on a blue course! Finally, Cora got a little activity of her own - her first time checking out a pool! She wasn't so sure at first but - She liked it! She conquered the pool with Mommy's help!

Kid Time

The benefit of visiting the island about 2 weeks after a hurricane tore threw? Not a lot of visitors. Today, the grownups went to the play golf and we stayed at the resort. We had the scheduled kid activities all to ourselves! Music and story time just for us! Followed by pumpkin painting after lunch - this time just us and a black cat. Getting ready for Halloween in the sun! More pool time once the golfers came back. I'm getting to be a pretty good swimmer just like Eve!

Sun + Water + Sand

Hilton Head Island Day #1: We started out with fun in the pool. And extended the fun to the beach later in the day. Which we had to ourselves today! Ready for bed? Maybe.

Up, Up & Away

My first flight took off around 8:30PM, I don't remember much of it.

Go Blue!

My first trip to the Big House - and I slept through most of it. John also managed to take a nap in front of 110,000 people! The whole family cheered for a Michigan victory!

Run-a-thon

Cora (and Mommy & Daddy) showed up to cheer for me at my first run-a-thon! My classmates and I - the Toohey Tornadoes - listening to our final instructions.  Off to the races! Getting a high five from Daddy and showing off my bracelets - one for each lap completed! Mommy and Cora were big cheerleaders! Big hugs from Daddy after all that running! More excitement after school when Grandma came over for dinner and playtime!

Faces

Well, happy morning to you! Look at me - two months old already! I know - its' gone by quick! But it's been fun so far! And I've got a lot more to learn! Stay tuned!
