Celebrating with Thomas

As the big kid at the party, Eve was happy to give rides to the younger kids! I kept busy practicing my batting skills. Right handed  - or left handed - I've already got my form down! Thomas (and his daddy) was serious about blowing his candles out! August and I certainly didn't complain about the cupcakes! Everyone went for the frosting first! Happy 3rd Birthday Thomas! Birthday hugs!

Pressing Cider

Another fall favorite - cider and donuts! I got up close with the pigs! While Eve helped feed some goats! We watched the whole cider making process - from the tractor delivering the apples. To watching the smushed apples get wrapped in cloth. And finally watching the 10 layers get pushed together and the apple cider come out!

Tutus + Football

Tailgating at the golf course meant lots of room for us to run (or trip over the ropes)! Give that kid a football and it's a touchdown! Mom made me wear pants - I thought just the tutu would have been fine! Football, tutu and chocolate ice cream - what else do I need?

Late Season Ice Cream

It may be September already but that doesn't mean it's still not ice cream season! Superman indeed! Chocolate of course for Eve!

It's Football Season Again!

Finally it's Fall - which means we can actually go to the Big House and not just drive by it! We loved cheering - and eating new treats (mac n' cheese wraps) - and our favorite - watching the band! BIG FUN!

Young 5's

My first day in Young 5's! No hesitation going to my new room!

A Quick Doggie Nap

No nap for me today - but I made sure that my companion was nice and cozy for his nap!

Old School

On the way home, we drove through Manistee and found a playground of the type that Mommy & Daddy played on when they were little! Rocket slide! Looks pretty high up, hmmm.... I'll go for it!

Hiking with Art?

Another cloudy day, so we headed out for a hike in the woods at the Legacy Art Park. We found lots of interesting things along our walk - like this TV screen. I got my turn on screen. And then Eve and I sat on the couch and watched the Nature Channel for awhile. We found interesting benches along the way. But the Stockage Labyrinth was one of our favorites! We are kings of the stockade! Hanging out at the top of the world - or state! Family photo op in the trees! A very fun walk in the woods! We didn't just find art in the woods - we found deer too! Can you find the young buck? His sister was just down the hill too (not pictured). At the end of the walk - we finally found the frog that we had been looking for the whole time!

Cloudy Beach Day

The weather on day two did not fully cooperate for our planned Lake Michigan beach day. Nonetheless, we headed to the beach at Frankfort and walked - very carefully - out on the pier to the lighthouse. The only other people out there were a few fisherman. If you walk out there, you of course have to walk back! Even if it's cloudy, pictures on the beach are still required! John and I were not deterred from having fun in the sand! Seriously, we had the whole place to ourselves! Swinging away! Whoa! Yippee!
